cuterie
Mealime alternative

Mealime is closing. Bring your recipes with you.

Mealime has announced it will shut down on October 21, 2026, and the app doesn't offer a way to export your recipes, meal plans or grocery lists. Here's how to keep the recipes you love, and plan your week in cuterie instead.

How it works

Three steps, done

  1. Save each recipe you want to keep

Mealime's recipes have their own pages on mealime.com. Find one there, copy its link and paste it into Add recipe in cuterie. The ingredients, steps and photo come across, and link imports don't count toward any daily limit.

  2. Screenshots work too

For anything you can't find on the website, take screenshots of the recipe in Mealime and use Scan photos in the cuterie app. It reads up to 20 screenshots into one recipe.

  3. Plan your week and shop

Add recipes to your week and their ingredients land on one shared shopping list, sorted by aisle. Invite your household so everyone sees the same plan and list.

Do it before October 21

Once Mealime shuts down, your saved recipes, plans and lists go with it. Start with the recipes your household actually cooks. A handful of favorites is enough to get going, and you can add more any time from almost anywhere: recipe websites, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, screenshots or a pasted caption.

What's the same, and what's different

Like Mealime, cuterie turns the meals you plan into a grocery list sorted by aisle. The difference is that cuterie is built around your own recipes rather than a fixed catalog: you collect the dishes you love, rate them, and cuterie's Pick meals suggests a balanced week from them. New households start with a starter pack of recipes so the week isn't empty on day one.

cuterie is also made for sharing: everyone in your household gets their own sign-in, and the plan, recipes, pantry and shopping list stay in sync live on iPhone, iPad, Android, the web and Apple Watch.

Common questions

Is cuterie free?

Yes. Planning, recipes, the shared shopping list and the pantry are free for your whole household, including 10 AI imports a day from social media, photos and captions. Importing a link to a recipe website is always free. cuterie Unlimited removes the daily AI limit.

Can I export from Mealime and import the file?

No. Mealime doesn't offer an export, so there's no file to import. Saving recipe links or screenshots one by one is the way to bring them over.

Coming from Paprika or a spreadsheet?

Those can come over all at once. In cuterie, go to Add recipe, then Import your recipes, and choose a Paprika export file or a CSV. Photos, ratings, notes and categories come along from Paprika.

Will my Mealime shopping list come over?

Not automatically. Plan a few recipes in cuterie and the shopping list fills itself from them; add anything else by hand.
