Terms of Service

cuterie

Last updated September 2026. These terms are an agreement between you and the developer of cuterie ("we", "us"). They cover cuterie everywhere it runs — the web app at cuterie.app, the iOS and Android apps, and the "cuterie: Save Recipe" Chrome extension. By creating an account or using cuterie, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use cuterie.

Who can use cuterie

You must be at least 13 years old. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in details to yourself and for what happens under your account.

Households

cuterie is built around a household: everyone who joins shares the same recipes, meal plans, shopping list and pantry, and any member can add, change or remove them. Only share your invite code with people you want to have that access. A household's manager can remove members, and you can leave a household at any time.

Your content

Recipes, notes, ratings, plans and lists you add stay yours. You give us permission to store, copy, process and display that content only as needed to run cuterie for you and your household — including sending it to the service providers described in our Privacy Policy when you use a feature that needs them (for example, reading a recipe from a photo).

When you import a recipe from a website or social post, you're responsible for using it in line with that source's rights and terms. cuterie is meant for saving recipes for your own household's cooking, not for republishing other people's work.

AI features and nutrition information

Some features use artificial intelligence — importing recipes from links, photos and captions, filling in missing details, and estimating nutrition, dietary tags and cooking times. These results can be wrong or incomplete. Always check them before relying on them.

Nutrition figures, dietary tags (such as gluten-free, vegan or nut-free) and allergen information in cuterie are estimates, not medical, nutritional or allergy advice. If you or anyone you cook for has a food allergy, intolerance or medical diet, check every ingredient yourself. You're responsible for how you prepare, store and serve food.

Free use, cuterie Unlimited and payments

cuterie is free to use with a daily limit on AI-powered imports. cuterie Unlimited is an optional yearly subscription that removes that limit for your whole household. We may change what's included in the free plan or in cuterie Unlimited, and we'll give notice in the app before a change reduces what a current subscription includes.

Subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and payment is charged to that store account. A subscription renews automatically each year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings; cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep access until the paid period ends. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

  • break the law, or use cuterie to infringe anyone's rights;
  • try to get around usage limits, access other households' data, or interfere with the service;
  • scrape, copy or resell cuterie itself, or reverse-engineer it except where the law allows;
  • upload anything harmful, such as malware.

We may suspend or close accounts that do these things.

Other services

cuterie links to and works with services we don't control — recipe websites, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, the App Store and Google Play. Their own terms apply when you use them, and we aren't responsible for their content or availability.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from the Household tab ("Delete my account"). If you're the only member of your household, that also deletes the household's data; this can't be undone. Deleting your account doesn't cancel a store subscription — cancel that in your App Store or Google Play settings. We may stop offering cuterie or close accounts that break these terms; where we reasonably can, we'll give notice first so you can export your recipes (Settings → Export recipes).

Disclaimers

cuterie is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that cuterie will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose, or that imported or AI-generated information is accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of cuterie. Our total liability for any claim relating to cuterie is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for cuterie in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

You agree to cover claims brought against us by others that arise from content you add to cuterie or from your breaking these terms.

If you got cuterie from the Apple App Store

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for cuterie or its content, has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for it, and isn't responsible for any claims relating to it — including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, or intellectual-property claims. If cuterie fails to meet an applicable warranty, you can notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price; beyond that, Apple has no warranty obligation. You confirm you aren't located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo and aren't on a U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as cuterie changes. We'll update the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll let you know in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use cuterie after that means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.
